Looks like the travelling season is here and why should humans have all the fun?

A highly venomous snake recently made a long trip from India to England. The highly poisonous saw-scaled viper was found in a shipping container. According to South Essex Wildlife Hospital, England, official’s from the British animal hospital was called to capture the snake but since the snake was extremely venomous, the experts had to take immense precautions while handling the reptile.

As per BBC, the snake was found by a stonemason in a shipping container of rocks and he called to capture the snake. The team of experts consisted of a reptile expert and a veterinarian. The Facebook post of the hospital said that the species was a non-native British one.

“In addition to many British wildlife species coming in today, we also had a call about a critter that is definitely not in the country it should have been,” read their Facebook post. 

“It was identified as a saw-scaled viper and having had one before we understood fully the gravity of just how dangerous these reptiles are, they are way up there in the top few most deadly snakes (it is believed to have killed more people than all the other species combined).”

The experts further informed that the snake has been kept in a locked box in a sealed room with warning signs, awaiting collection from an appropriate facility that sues our manager has contacted.

“We are glad not to have to deal with venomous creatures too often but feel sad for the snake that we can’t give it is freedom and get it back home,” read the post

Social media users, who often get intrigued by such posts and happenings, praised the hospital staff for their efforts.

“Well done team, bet the adrenaline was running during the rescue. What a beautiful creature,” a person wrote. 

Another said, “Even though I am not a lover of snakes I am so happy that it is safe and gets to live out the rest of his life after such a long journey .thank you all for being such a caring bunch of people.”
