While the players go under the hammer and franchisees engage in a bidding war to strengthen their squads for the IPL 2021, at the Kolkata Knight Riders’ table will be Jahnavi Mehta sitting, bidding for the players along with the management. Jahnavi, who led the KKR’s bidding in 2018, will again be the youngest bidder at the venue.
Daughter of Bollywood actor Juhi Chawla, 19-year-old Jahnvi has been playing her part in the bidding war. According to media reports, a straight-A student, Jahnavi is a big fan of Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan.
Jahnavi completed her education from Mumbai’s Dhirubhai Ambani International School and Charterhouse School in England’s Surrey. Jahnavi also has a younger brother, Arjun Mehta.
On the league front, KKR will go in the auction with a purse of Rs.10.75 crore, with a maximum of eight slots to fill; two of which could be foreign players. With new additions, KKR will be hoping to improve themselves in every department and give the opposition a run for their money.
Kolkata Knight Riders have won the IPL title twice, with Gautam Gambhir at the helm.
