The Carolina Panthers on Friday traded star wide receiver DJ Moore for a No 1 2023 Draft pick from the Chicago Bears. The 2023 NFL Draft will take place on April 27-29 in Kansas City, Missouri.

With Moore in the mix, Chicago is adding to its WR depth. The former Panthers player has had three 1000-yard seasons from 2019 to 2021. He had a career high 7 touchdowns in 2022.

For Carolina, the first pick in the 2023 Draft should mean strengthening their quarterback position. The team hasn’t had a franchise QB since Cam Newton. In 2022, they had named Baker Mayfield as their starter. However, they released him 13 weeks into the season. Sam Darnold and PJ Walker also struggled and the team finisher with a 7-10 record.

Now the team might eye Bryce Young of Alabama. The 21-year-old has been named as the top prospect for the 2023 Draft. CJ Stroud, who plays for the Ohio State Buckeyes, is also hot for the draft. He is the first person to throw for six touchdowns three times and has the highest passing yards in a single game (573) in the team’s history. In 2021 and 2022, he made the finals for the Heisman Trophy.

“CJ Stroud is reportedly the “QB of choice” for Panthers new head coach Frank Reich. While, Bryce Young is “favored” by Panthers owner David Tepper. The Panthers who now own the first overall pick in the Draft have 48 days to decide which QB they will take,” NFL Rookie Watch tweeted.

“I’LL SAY IT AGAIN: THE CHICAGO BEARS WILL ULTIMATELY REGRET NOT TAKING BRYCE YOUNG WITH THE NO. 1 OVERALL PICK. JUSTIN FIELDS IS PRETTY GOOD. BRYCE YOUNG WILL BE EXTREMELY GOOD,” another Twitter user added.

“I really like CJ Stroud. I definitely like Bryce Young. I think Anthony Richardson has tons of potential.None of them are worth two 1s, two 2s and DJ Moore. None,” a third one said.
