On July 22, Philadelphia will play host to the opening match of the 2023 Premier League Summer Series between Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion.
In order to be ready for the 2023–24 season, six Premier League teams will compete in the preseason mini-tournament.
As Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi prepares for the club’s inaugural season of European play, new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino will be seeking to evaluate his squad in the upcoming weeks.
The preseason friendly will begin at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States on Saturday, July 22, at 7:00 p.m. local time.
The game will be streamed live on Peacock in the US but will not be broadcasted on TV. In Canada, the game will be available to watch on Fubo TV Canada. Meanwhile, in the UK, the game will be broadcasted on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, while it will be streamed on Sky GO.
Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to play a few more of his star-studded stars following the victory at Wrexham. On his debut, Christopher Nkunku made a significant contribution by scoring a goal and putting on a generally strong performance against the Welsh team. He’ll probably get an opportunity against the Seagulls.
Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling both also contributed against Wrexham. They’ll likely start out up against more difficult opposition. Fans can expect to see Thiago Silva play as well because he was not involved in the last game.
Joao Pedro of Watford and Bart Verbruggen of Anderlecht have been both signed to the De Zerbi side this season. Mahmoud Dahoud from Dortmund and James Milner, a longtime Liverpool and Manchester City player, were acquired as free transfers to the team.
