Joe Mixon scored his first touchdown of the 2022 NFL season as the Cincinnati Bengals took an early lead against the Miami Dolphins in the first game of Week 4. The game is played at the Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Bengals.

At the fifth minute mark of the first quarter, Bengals’ drive reached 3rd down and inches, QB Joe Burrow gave the ball to his running back who took the ball in the endzone to score the TD. The Bengals took a 7-0 lead after the play. Bengals are currently 1-2 after three games played in the season.

The team from Cincinnati is off to a rough start to the current campaign. They lost their opening week against the lowly Pittsburgh Steelers side at home and followed it with a relatively close defeat versus the Dallas Cowboys. The team won against the New York Jets in Week 3 to finally win a game in the current campaign. Bengals are looking to continue to win a second successive game of the season after their poor start.

Joe Mixon has been in fine form this season despite not scoring a TD until the fourth game. He has recorded 58 rushing attempts for 163 yards in the last three games for the team. He was a crucial piece for the team as he, QB Burrow, and wide-receiver Ja’Marr Chase led the team to a Super Bowl appearance just seven months ago. The team, however, had got defeated in the game by the Los Angeles Rams.

The running back was drafted by the Bengals in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and subsequently signed a four-year, $5.45 million contract with $2.81 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $2.10 million with the team. He played college football for the University of Oklahoma’s Sooners football team from 2014 to 2016.
