Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah tied the knot with sports anchor Sanjana Ganesan days after rumours of them getting hitched started becoming prominent. The duo got married in a close and private ceremony in Goa and the function was attended by close friends and family.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Sanjana wrote, ““Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you.”
Jasprit and Sanjana apparently wanted to keep the ceremony private as guests were requested to come without their cell phones, a report by Times Now said, adding that the wedding rituals were completed in Goa on Sunday.
Sanjana has been a presenter for Star Sports India in the Indian Premier League (IPL), as well as working for the Kolkata Knight Riders, hosting its weekly show ‘Knights club’. She was the finalist of Miss India 14, and had participated in the reality show Splitsvilla 7 as well.
Ahead of their wedding, Bumrah was released of the fourth and final Test match of India against England. The fast bowler had asked to be released due to ‘personal reasons,’ according to BCCI.
