Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly about to move to Saudi Arabian team Al Nassr for a record price of 173 million pounds per year. Details of the offer were first reported by Spanish newspaper Marta. Ronaldo, who was recently made to leave Manchester United after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan, is currently representing Portugal in the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

Ronaldo has been offered a 500 million Euro offer to represent the Arabian club for two and a half years. The Portuguese player has agreed to the offer and is close to signing a deal with the club, reports said. The 37-year-old, who is approaching the dusk of his career, will be 40-year-old when his likely deal with the Asian club will end.

Al Nassr is a top Arabian club, having won 9 Saudi Premier league titles. The club had made an unsuccessful offer to the Portuguese star earlier in the year. Saudi Arabia hit the headlines in this World Cup by beating football giants Argentina in their first match of the World Cup. Ronaldo’s move is sure to help the club and further boost football in the country.

He left Italian Serie A giants Juventus to join his old club Manchester United in 2021 August and was earning 26 million pounds at the club as reported by the Guardian. In an interview with journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo revealed about his then on-going tussle with United manager Erik Ten Hag and differences with the club owners, Glazers. After the interview, Ronaldo was made to leave the club with immediate effect, while he was in Qatar for national duties in the World Cup.
