The Cowboys took their first lead of the game with a 32-yard field goal from Brandon Aubrey as the first half was coming to an end.

The Cowboys put together a quick six-play, 57-yard drive in the last fifty-nine seconds. Derwin James Jr.’s unwarranted roughness call for striking tight end Jake Ferguson’s head turned a 15-yard reception into a 30-yard gain, propelling this drive into field goal range.

The Chargers successfully stopped Dak Prescott’s fourth-and-one attempt at the Los Angeles 13-yard line earlier in the quarter, giving the Cowboys a chance to take the lead. Fortunately for Dallas, the Chargers failed to retaliate, with Dante Fowler Jr. pressuring Herbert and disrupting his attempt at a deep third-down pass.

The Chargers did not fare well after their opening scoring drive and had to punt four times in a row.

11 of 18 passes from Justin Herbert have been completed for 113 yards and a touchdown. Dak Prescott, on the other hand, has been productive, going 15 for 20 for 161 yards, adding 33 yards through the air, and scoring a touchdown in just four attempts.

Dallas’ defense has held the Chargers’ running game in check, giving up just 19 yards on 10 rushes. During the first half, Morgan Fox and Khalil Mack each had a sack to contribute.
