Damar Hamlin, a safety for the Buffalo Bills, went to the 2023 Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, where the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs played on Sunday.
A stadium-style jacket by Takashi Murakami called “Travis Jesus” costing about $3,600 was worn by Hamlin. It had Murakami’s famous Jesus graphic on the left and crucifixion patterns on the back. The phrases “Without End or Beginning There is No Day and No Night” were written on the right side of the jacket.
However, this outfit did not fare well for him and has provoked outrage on Twitter, particularly among the Christian community.

Who is Damar Hamlin?
Damar Hamlin is an American football safety for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. Hamlin suffered a heart arrest on January 2nd while playing a Monday Night Football game versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
When Damar tried to tackle Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins early in the first quarter of the match, he sustained an injury. He swiftly bounced back after taking a hit to the chest before abruptly falling over.
Hamlin was given CPR for ten minutes and what looked to be oxygen before the ambulance drove him to the UC Medical Center. On February 9, Hamlin attended the NFL Honors and delivered a moving speech while being accompanied by the medical professionals who helped save his life.

On Twitter, a lot of people attacked Hamlin’s outfit choice for the big game.
“Here’s a better view of Damar Hamlin’s blasphemous jacket. Our prayers might have saved his life, but apparently not his soul,” Stew Peters, from The Stew Peters Show, wrote.
One user responded, “How disgusting is that jacket. This feels like a deliberate kick in the teeth to all the people who prayed for him. Why would he do that makes no sense.”
“Definitely an interesting choice of attire for Damar Hamlin a guy who basically died on the football field and has been preaching about prayers, god and etc ever since. Hmmm,” another Twitterati wrote.
