QB PJ Walker is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Browns. Deshaun Watson, who was diagnosed with a displaced fracture to his glenoid, according to an MRI on Monday, will have surgery on his right throwing shoulder that will finish the season, the Cleveland Browns confirmed.

In order to prevent future structural damage, the decision to undergo surgery was taken after consulting with shoulder specialist Neal ElAttrache, MD, and Browns’ head physician James Voos, MD, despite the player’s strong performance and completion of the game. Watson will be placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the season, and a full recovery is expected by the 2024 season’s opening.

Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, is dealing with yet another injury after being out for about a month because of a rotator cuff strain in his right shoulder.

Watson re-injured his shoulder during the team’s most recent victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Prior to this, Watson was struggling with an ankle injury from the previous game. His right shoulder’s glenoid fracture was displaced, and an MRI revealed a high-ankle sprain.

Watson will therefore have season-ending surgery, and it is anticipated that he will fully recover by the beginning of the 2024 season. For more information, general manager Andrew Berry will speak to the media.

Despite having an ankle injury, Deshaun Watson played with incredible resiliency in the second half of the team’s most recent game against the Baltimore Ravens.

He completed all 14 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown in the latter two quarters. After a difficult first half in which Watson labored with a 6-of-20 completion percentage, 79 yards, an interception (returned for a touchdown), and a 22.7 passer rating, this incredible comeback was staged.
