Dexter Lawrence II, nose tackle for the New York Giants, introduced himself as ‘Sexy Dexy’ ahead of the Sunday Night Football game against the Washington Commanders. The two sides lock horns at the FedEx Stadium. 

Lawrence, who has been a part of the Giants since 2019, called himself ‘Sexy Dexy’ in his introduction. The 25-year-old is from Wake Forest, North Carolina.

This sparked a number of reactions from fans. “‘Sexy Dexy’ Dexter Lawrence is awesome. #Giants#Commanders,” one of the fans said, while another noted, “I love how Dexter Lawrence calls himself ‘Sexy Dexy’.” Another wrote, “After careful consideration & long thought I’ve come to the decision that ‘Big Sexy Dexy’ Dexter Lawrence is my favorite New York Football Giant.” One more said, “Hahahahaha! Dexter Lawrence Ii introduced himself as ‘Sexy Dexy’ on SNF. I’m dead.”

Some of the fans were in disbelief and did not trust that they had heard right. “Did Dexter Lawrence just refer to himself as a sexy Dexy? When they run their photos across the bottom and announce their school? I could’ve sworn that’s what he said. Too funny. #NFLTwitter,” one of them said, while another stated, “NO DEXTER LAWRENCE DID NOT JUST GET ON MY TV TALKING ABOUT SOME SEXY DEXY.”

Lawrence played college football at Clemson. In 2015, he concluded his high school football career at Wake Forest High School. In college football’s incoming Class of 2016, he was ranked as the No. 2 recruit.

Before signing with Clemson, he considered multiple schools, including Clemson Tigers, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Alabama Crimson Tide and NC State Wolfpack. He is seen as the best prospect to ever come out of the state of North Carolina.
