In the first half of the game against the Washington Commanders, Chicago Bears receiver DJ Moore was having a career-defining performance.

Moore’s exceptional performance in the first half included five catches for a whopping 137 yards and two touchdowns. These contributions helped the Bears secure a commanding 17-0 lead over the Commanders. His first touchdown came from a 20-yard pass, and his second was an 11-yard reception that completed a remarkable six-play, 69-yard drive.

To put Moore’s performance in perspective, his previous career highs were nine catches and 157 yards, making his first-half performance particularly outstanding. What made it even more special was that he had never before recorded more than two touchdowns in a single game.

The Bears’ offense, spearheaded by Moore’s incredible night, was firing on all cylinders. They had three possessions in the first half, and impressively, they scored on each one. The only time they didn’t find the end zone, they settled for a field goal in the red zone during their second drive, making efficient use of their opportunities.

Rookie quarterback Justin Fields also played a crucial role in this impressive first-half display. Fields went 9-of-13 for 156 yards and threw two touchdowns, further solidifying the dynamic connection between him and Moore.
