Dilano van ‘t Hoff, a driver, passed away on Saturday morning following a major accident at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, where the FRECA race was taking place. This casts a pall over the motorsports world on Saturday.

The event happened as the second race was coming to a close. Additionally involved were Adam Fitzgerald, Enzo Scionti, and Joshua Dufek.
Due to the water on the track, there was virtually little sight at the beginning of the Kemmel straight, when everything happened.
Fitzgerald struck Van ‘t Hoff in an unpleasant T-shaped collision after Fitzgerald left him in the middle of the track.
The drivers received on-track medical attention as the race was promptly paused.
The circuit’s medical centre is where the worst information was confirmed for both Van ‘t Hoff and Fitzgerald. Van ‘t Hoff had died as a result of his wounds.
The F2 driver Anthoine Hubert died in a crash at this location of the same track in 2019. The wet conditions there led to a pretty catastrophic crash for Formula 1 driver Lando Norris as well, although he was fortunate to escape unharmed.
This was the 18-year-old Dutchman’s third season in the FRECA, his second with the MP Motorsport team.
He was 16th in the overall standings. He won the Spanish Formula 4 in 2021, also with MP Motorsport.
