Fans want New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and offensive coach Matt Patricia fired after the team played poorly against the Cincinnati Bengals on Christmas eve day. The two sides locked horns at the Gillette Stadium on Saturday.

“fire him at halftime. don’t even wait til tomorrow. and belichick can go with him. dude hasn’t done one thing right since really before brady even left. so overrated,” a third one tweeted.

In 2004, the year the Patriots won their third Super Bowl in Super Bowl XXXIX, Patricia became a coaching assistant on the offensive staff under head coach Bill Belichick. It was the beginning of his first stint as a coaching staff with New England.

Patricia joined the Patriots again on January 22, 2021. Although the precise duties were still being worked out then, it was said that Patricia and Patriots coach Bill Belichick are attempting to fill a position similar to what Mike Lombardi held in New England.

His position was decided as Patriot’s offensive coordinator. But fans are clearly not happy with his performance in the role.

“At this point if he’s not willing to admit he shouldn’t be the GM anymore then its definitely worth considering,” another fan said on Twitter. “He’s still an excellent coach but he’s also the same GM that brought in Joe Judge and Matt Patricia and has done nothing to help the sputtering offense.”
