Frances Tiafoe defeated the great Rafael Nadal in the fourth round of the US Open to reach his first quarterfinals. Frances Tiafoe joins Andy Roddick and James Blake as the only Americans to defeat Rafael Nadal in a Major. 

Frances Tiafoe is 6 feet 2 and weighs 190 pounds, according to BolaVip. According to the Association of Tennis Professionals’ website, he earned $6,162,700 as prize money over his seven-year professional tennis career. The 24-year-old has a net worth estimated to be over $6 million. 

Frances Tiafoe is currently in a relationship with Ayan Broomfield. Ayan Broomfield is a Canadian tennis player. The 25-year-old is currently ranked World No. 680 in the WTA ranking and has two ITF titles to her name. She is also a former NCAA national champion.

Frances Tiafoe was born on January 20, 1998, along with his twin brother Franklin to Alphina Kamara and Constant Tiafoe, immigrants from Sierra Leone. His father came to the United States in 1993 and his mother joined him in 1996. In 1999, his father started working as a day labourer on a construction crew that built the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Maryland. 

Frances and Franklin began training at the JTCC at the age of five. At the age of 8, Frances Tiafoe started coaching under Misha Kouznetsov. Kouznetsov helped sponsor Tiafoe to play at tournaments as he progressed through the juniors. He continued to train Tiafoe for nine years until he moved to the USTA National Training Center in Boca Raton, Florida.

Frances Tiafoe has been ranked as high as No. 24 in men’s singles achieved on August 8, 2022, by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). He won his first and only ATP title at the 2018 Delray Beach Open, becoming the youngest American man to win a tournament on the ATP Tour since Andy Roddick in 2002.
