Cornerback Sauce Gardner teased the Green Bay by celebrating New York Jets’ win at the Lambeau Field wearing a cheesehead. Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard knocked it off his head.

Jets secured a convincing 27-10 win at Green Bay to take their record to 4-2 in the 2022 season. Aaron Rodgers and co, on the other hand, are second in NFC North with a 3-3 record. 

After his team’s win, Sauce Gardner wore a cheesehead. He ran towards a section of Green Bay fans in the stands to tease them. However, just as the 22-year-old was about to enter the tunnel, Lazard knocked it off his head.

“They put it on my head, the Jets fans. So I just had to take it and run with it. Running off that field with that cheese on my head, was a crazy feeling right there. I’m never gonna forget that,” Gardner said talking about his cheesehead celebration.

“It’s a cool name too. Sauce. I can’t even be mad,” Lazard told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

On the game’s opening series, Rodgers threw a third-and-9 pass that bounced off a diving Robert Tonyan before New York’s Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner picked it out of the air and returned it 35 yards for an apparent touchdown. The touchdown was overturned when replays showed the ball hit the ground before getting to Tonyan. Breece Hall ran for 116 yards, including a 34-yard touchdown.

Aaron Rodgers passed for 246 yards and one touchdown. Lazard had four receptions for 76 yards and one touchdown.
