Andrew Vorhees, offensive guard for the USC Trojans, ahead of Round 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft explained his right ACL tear to teams. The 24-year-old had sustained the injury in March.

Round 1 of the Draft at Kansas City saw quarterback Will Levis pushed down. Reports suggested that teams were concerned about his toe injury.

NFL reporter Adam Schefter shared a picture of Vorhees’ letter to the teams. As per the letter, the offensive lineman is rehabbing in Santa Monica, California and should return to play without restrictions.

“Former USC offensive lineman Andrew Vorhees, who tore his right ACL at this year’s scouting combine, had this letter sent to all teams today from his doctor, Neal ElAttrache,” Schefter tweeted along with the picture.

“The purpose of this letter is to confirm that Andrew Michael Vorhees is under my care for an injury which occurred on March, 5, 2023, to his right knee requiring arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with central third bone patellar tendon bone autograft and repair of the posterior root of the later meniscus on March 29, 2023,” ElAttrache, the player’s doctor, wrote.

“He is currently rehabbing at Elite Orthosport in Santa Monica, California, daily. Based on his surgical results and early recovery I anticipate return to play without restrictions,” the letter further read.

Vorhees is projected as a late-round pick. He could also go undrafted. The lineman made 48 starts in six seasons with the USC Trojans. In 23 games, he played at left guard and in 20 he was at right. He was left tackle in five games.
