Memphis Grizzlies beat the Los Angeles Lakers 116-99 in Game 5 of the NBA playoffs to force two more games. The sixth tie between the two sides will take place at the Crypto.com Arena.

On Wednesday, Ja Morant (31) and Desmond Bane (33) combined for more than 60 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists against the Lakers. LeBron James and co lead the series 3-2.

The Game 6 will be played on Friday night at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles at 10:30 PM.

Morant and Bane were on fire. The two kept the Lakers under the pump throughout the game. For the visitors, Anthony Davis clocked 31 points and 19 rebounds. LeBron James had 15 points and 10 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell scored 11 and 10.

Austin Reaves had 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Lakers.

As the clock zeroed, the crowd chanted Morant’s name as LeBron walked away silently to the locker-room. The NBA all-time points leader looked tired.

“It’s our home floor, home crowd, and we feed off their energy,” Morant told Turner Sports’ Allie LaForce. “Every time we play in this building, they bring it every time for us and give us the energy we need to go get a win.”

Memphis started off the game flying into lead. Their opponents, however, managed to make a run in the third quarter and got the score down to 75-74. The Grizzlies finished Q3 19-2 and were leading 101-76 with 10:16 left in the fourth.

Ja Morant was playing with an injured hand. He made 11 points in the third quarter. Bane scored 21 points in the first half.
