Krunal Pandya, who received his first ODI cap for India from his brother Hardik Pandya before the start of the 1st ODI vs England on Tuesday, scored his maiden half century in 26 balls. This is the fastest fifty ever scored by a debutant in an ODI match.

The record for fastest fifty on ODI debut was earlier held by Jon Morris of New Zealand, who scored a 35-ball fifty on his debut against England in the 1990 Adelaide ODI.
