In the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL), Mumbai City FC on Saturday
confirmed the signing of right-winger Jackichand Singh from Jamshedpur FC, PTI
reported.

With the transfer, the 28-year-old returns to his former
club and will be starting off a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Singh has had 85 appearances in total, and has appeared for all
of the 12 games in the season for Jamshedpur. He has previously featured in
sides such as Kerala Blasters, FC Goa, and FC Pune City.

“I’m thrilled to be back at Mumbai City FC. I am
thankful to the management for giving me this opportunity to return to this big
club and to work again with coach Sergio Lobera”, PTI quoted Singh as saying
regarding his return to the Islanders’ base, who also added that it would be
particularly helpful for him to play under Lobera’s coaching, seemingly as he was
“acquainted with his (Lobera’s) philosophy, his style of play”, and “what he
expects from me”.

The latter, meanwhile, hailed the Indian national team regular
as someone who is aware of the club’s philosophy and noted that it would not
take him long to settle into the Mumbai City FC-framework.

Singh has previously played under Lobera during both their

The deal will feature a swap, with Farukh Choudhary, the 24-year-old
Midfielder, also leaving Mumbai and returning to his former side Jamshedpur FC.
