According to media sources, Josh Hart has made the decision to exercise his $12.9 million player option in order to play for the New York Knicks in the 2023–24 season.

Through a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers at the trade deadline, Hart joined the Knicks’ roster. Cam Reddish and the 23rd selection in the most recent NBA Draft were the main items sent from the Pacific Northwest in that exchange.
