After the thrilling 5th Test, the T20 series has mostly been a one-sided affair. Even though England is ranked 2nd in the ICC T20 team rankings, they were no match against the Indian youngsters.

1. India’s changed batting approach: Defying the ‘take time and settle down’ strategy, Indian batters looked to attack from ball no 1.

Despite the loss of wickets in Southampton, the Indian batters kept looking for boundaries. Except for Ishan Kishan, who struggled to get going, every player in the top five scored more than 20 runs with a strike rate of more than 150. During the first half of the innings, the team was able to consistently score at 10 runs per over thanks to Rohit Sharma‘s 24 off 14 and Hooda‘s 33 off 17 and Suryakumar Yadav‘s 39 off 19.

3. Bhuvneshwar’s new ball magic: He is not a “140+ bowler,” which is currently a distinct specialty for quicks in T20 cricket. He doesn’t use his lengths to explore various parts of a cricket pitch. He is, nevertheless, shrewd and precise.  Give him a bowl that swings and you will know what he is made off.

Kumar bowled match-winning spells in the two matches he played in the series. On both occassions, he was able to dismiss the dangerous Jos Buttler.
