Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday agreed on a five-year extension worth $260 million, several media reports said. The deal makes the star quarterback the highest paid NFL player, beating Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jackson posted a video on social media, where he could be seen holding an NFL ball with the Ravens logo. The 26-year-old announced that he and the franchise have extended his contract by five years. However, neither parties revealed the financial details.

“You know, for the last few months, there’s been a lot of ‘he say, she say.’ A lot of nail-biting, a lot of head-scratching going on. But for the next five years, it’s a lot of flock going on! Let’s go, baby. Let’s go, man,” Jackson said in the video, which was also shared on the Ravens’ Twitter account.

“Can’t wait to get there, can’t wait to be there, can’t wait to light up M&T for the next five years, man. Let’s get it.”

The Lamar-Baltimore announcement came days after Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts agreed to a five-year, $255 million deal.
