LeBron James chose pink shoes for the game that could see him break an all-time NBA regular season points record. The Los Angeles Lakers locked horns with the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles on Tuesday.

“So tonight LeBron is probably gonna be the all time leading NBA scorer after this game, with Kareem in the building. Wearing pink shoes….” a Twitter user said.

“LeBron how did you decide on your sneaker decision? Pink sneakers to break the all time scoring record? Cmon man,” another one added.

“LeBron wearing Barbie pink shoes to break his all time scoring record just has to piss Kareem off 😂” a third one tweeted.

LeBron James on Tuesday officially became the NBA’s all-time scoring leader, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38,387 points that have stood for more than 38 years. “King James” made the record in tonight’s game against the OKC Thunder at Crypto.com Arena with 10.9 seconds left in the third quarter.

LeBron James had 20 points in the first half and was up to 34 points with 54.8 in the third quarter. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar held the scoring record since April 5, 1984.

James played his first game back on December 30, 2003, versus the Sacramento Kings.
