Lionel Messi posted a picture with his family in Qatar after reaching the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 by beating Croatia in the semi-final on Tuesday at Lusail Stadium.

Messi has always been close to his family and considers it the most important support system in his life. As is visible in the picture, apart from his immediate family of wife and kids, all his other relatives are in Qatar to watch the superstar play.
In the post-match interview after the win against Croatia in the semi-final at Lusail Stadium, the 35-year-old said that he wants to dedicate the win to his family and all the Argentina fans who are in Qatar and back home watching the team play.

This is the second time that the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has reached a FIFA World Cup semi-final. The previous one, back in 2014 in Brazil, saw the PSG star returning home empty-handed after losing a hard-fought battle with Germany.
In the Qatar World Cup, Lionel Messi has been in excellent form and is all set to drive his team to glory. He is the joint-highest goal scorer in the tournament with six goals along with his clubmate Kylian Mbappe of France.
The 35-year-old has confirmed to the press earlier that the final match on December 18 will be his last for Argentina in the FIFA World Cup. With the next World Cup in four years’ time, Messi will not be in his best physical shape to compete. He might have to retire from the highest level of football by then.
