Although Aaron Rodgers has just recently joined the New York Jets, his teammates have already shown their love for him. Sauce Gardner, an important cornerback for the Jets, gave Rodgers some brand-new jewelry on Saturday.
Rodgers, who spent 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, is just beginning training camp with his new team. Gardner gave Rodgers an iced-out No. 8 chain to make him feel at home with the Jets.

During his stint with the Packers, Rodgers wore No. 12, but in New York, he will wear No. 8. That change might go a little more smoothly thanks to his new jewelry.
The Jets’ social media staff recorded the moment as Gardner gave Rodgers the gift on Saturday.
Gardner informed Rodgers, “So you’re my jeweler’s favorite quarterback.” “You know what I mean, Al the Jeweler. So he wanted to cook up something special for you. He brought the idea to me, I said I think it would be a good idea.”

With training camp underway, they’re finally going up against each other in practices. “I think he’ll like it,” Gardner said of the gift. “It’s probably not his style all the way, but I feel like it’s gonna be good since he’s in New York now.”
Rodgers stood grinning with his arms folded as Gardner himself put the necklace around the neck of the Jets’ newest quarterback. In the months before camp, the star quarterback enjoyed himself with Gardner, and the two were seen together at a Knicks playoff game and out to dinner.
With Rodgers under center, the Jets want to challenge for a Super Bowl, but they may have more than one chance. In a New York radio interview with 98.7 ESPN, Rodgers stated he would be open to spending more than one season with the team. Rodgers will make his regular-season debut for the Jets on September 11 against the Buffalo Bills.
