Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr’s
father posted a video on social media on Tuesday, highlighting times when Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield didn’t pass the
ball to his son when he was open, blaming him for his son’s lack of productivity.

With three green circles in a video he posted on Instagram, Odell Sr highlighted the times Mayfield did not pass and said the 26-year-old was “either hating on Odell or he just doesn’t
want him shining.”

During Sunday’s 15-10 loss to the Pittsburgh
Steelers, Beckham Jr had just one catch for 6 yards.

Late in the game Mayfield did target Beckham, but
Beckham went up for the ball with only one arm and couldn’t come down with the
catch.

In the
recent weeks, Cleveland’s passing game has struggled as they have fallen to
4-4.

Mayfield
ranks just 26th in QBR (43.0) and has only six touchdown passes. Beckham,
meanwhile, ranks 151st in the league in receptions per target and 139th in
receptions per route run. Both players have played through shoulder injuries
this season.

Beckham Sr. posted the video less than 24 hours before
the NFL trade deadline. He might be sending a message that Odell Beckham Jr.
wants out of Cleveland

This is not the first time when Beckham Sr. posted something
like this. A few months before when Giants traded Beckham Jr. to the Browns, he
 took some social media
shots at Giants owner John Mara.

On Tuesday evening, Los Angeles Lakers superstar
LeBron James supported Beckham by tweeting, “OBJ will show again why he’s
special. WR1 #FreeOBJ.”

Beckham
is under contract for two more seasons but has no guaranteed money left on his
deal. He has a $1 million roster bonus due each of those seasons on the first
day of training camp. The Browns would save $15 million on their salary cap if
they were to trade or release him next offseason.
