Recently, football legend Pat Tillman made headlines as the NFL decides to honor him during the Super Bowl LVII. Tillman quit his football career and died during the Operations Enduring Freedom in 2004 in Afghanistan.

Tillman was born in San Jose, California where he started his career during High School. Additionally, he studied at Arizona State University playing for the Sun Devils. Subsequently, he was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 1998.

All About Patt Tillman’s family

Tillman was born to parents Mary and Patrick on November 6, 1976. He was the eldest of three siblings. Tillman is described as a caring and protective brother and a natural leader. He showed his challenging tendency early in high school itself as it took the lead in getting his team to a Central Coast Division I Football Championship.

Tillman married his high school sweetheart, Marie Tillman in 2002. Shortly after their marriage, Patt joined the US Army while Marie supposed him entirely in his rather shocking decision. Later, Marie co-founded the Patt Tillman foundation following Patt’s demise in 2004. She also chairs the foundation today.

Additionally, Marie is also an entrepreneur and businesswoman today. She published a book titled, The Letter: My Journey Through Love, Loss, and Life. She started her own company Mac and Mia, named after her children. Marie’s net worth is reportedly estimated to about $3million.

Marie remained the widow of Patt Tillman till 2020 before she remarried to Joseph Shenton. The couple has two children together, Mac and Mia. Marie and Patt did not have any kids of their own.

Pat Tillman’s brother Kevin also joined army with him in 2004. They served together in the 75th Ranger Regiment in Fort Lewis.
