On Sunday, Patrick Mahomes felt an added sense of pressure to connect with his buddy Travis Kelce as Taylor Swift was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback openly admitted that he felt the weight of the moment, wanting to throw a touchdown pass to his favorite tight end with Swift in the crowd.

Mahomes shared his thoughts with Erin Andrews of Fox after the Chiefs convincingly defeated the Chicago Bears, 41-10. He acknowledged hearing that Taylor Swift was in the stadium and confessed to experiencing some added pressure. He knew he had to get the ball to Travis Kelce.

He recounted the play, highlighting that Kelce improvised a route and made a move that only he could pull off, leading to Mahomes delivering a successful pass. Mahomes humorously suggested that Kelce wanted to score a touchdown just as much as Swift’s fans, affectionately known as “Swifties,” wanted him to.

Recently, there had been romantic rumors surrounding Swift and Kelce, both 33 years old. Kelce even invited the music superstar to the game at Arrowhead Stadium during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” He playfully challenged her to compare his stage performance to hers at Arrowhead.

The situation took a surprising twist when Greg Olsen, commenting on the FOX broadcast, declared that he believed they were officially a couple, igniting a frenzy on the internet.

As the game unfolded, Mahomes connected with Kelce for a third-quarter touchdown, extending their lead to 41-0. Swift’s visible excitement, including shouting a profanity in jubilation, added fuel to the speculation.

Earlier in the year, Kelce had expressed his admiration for Swift on the New Heights podcast, mentioning that he had crafted a bracelet for her and hoped to present it to her in person during one of her performances at Arrowhead. However, at that time, Swift was on vocal rest and not receiving visitors.

Now, Kelce had the opportunity to showcase his skills in front of Swift on his home turf. The Eras Tour of Swift is set to resume on October 18 in Miami, while Kelce and the Chiefs are scheduled to face the Jets in a nationally televised game next Sunday night.
