Pete Davidson, the ‘Saturday Night Live’ comedian, will not be going to space on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket.

The space travel company announced Davidson was unable to join the other five passengers. The ride, which was initially supposed to take place next Wednesday, has now been shifted to Tuesday.

Blue Origin tweeted “Blue Origin’s 20th flight of New Shepard has shifted to Tuesday, March 29. Pete Davidson is no longer able to join the NS-20 crew on this mission. We will announce the sixth crew member in the coming days”.

Earlier, they’d announced that Davidson would be joining along with angel investor and former Party America CEO Marty Allen; Tricor International CEO Marc Hagle; SpaceKids Global founder Sharon Hagle; her husband, former FAA associate administrator and Commercial Space Technologies founder George Nield; and entrepreneur Jim Kitchen.

If Davidson had taken this ten-minute trip in the rocket, which launches from West Texas, he’d have been the third celebrity to go to space following William Shatner, the actor, and former NFL pro, Michael Strahan.

Currently, Davidson is dating Kim Kardashian, who’s split from Kanye West, or Ye. Thus far, Davidson has kept a low profile in the very public meltdown that Ye’s been having. The ‘Donda’ singer has repeatedly tried to win Kim back, sending her a truck full of roses, and has at the same time put down Davidson, referring to him as ‘Skete’ constantly.

He wrote and starred in ‘The King of Staten Island’, Davidson’s semi-autobiographical film, in 2020. The comedian will next appear in ‘The Home’, which is a horror movie. A picture of Davidson soaked in fake blood appeared a few days back, as he plays the role of Max, a man who works in a retirement home and finds the residents hide secrets. When he investigates the matter, Max finds links to his own past.
