PSG’s Lionel Messi, Neymar combine for the first goal vs Cristiano Ronaldo’s Riyadh 11 at King Fahd Stadium. The two teams are up against each other in the Riyadh Season Cup – an exhibition match organized by Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the Saudi Arabian capital city.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo last met in UEFA Champions League back in July 2020 when Juventus played Barcelona. The Italian side got the better of the Spanish in the match as they advanced to the quarter-final of the league that season.
Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s high-profile move to the Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in December 2022, he is playing for the first time in the country. In his debut, the 37-year-old scored two goals in the first half – the first one in penalties and the second one a perfect poacher’s finish from inside the box that eluded the PSG goalie and Ronaldo’s former teammate at Real Madrid Keylor Navas.
Lionel Messi, however, opened the scoring with a goal in the third minute of the match, putting his side ahead to start with. The second PSG goal came from a corner that was headed in by the Brazilian center-back Marquinhos. The first half of the match ended with two goals for both sides. However, the French side are a man down after Juan Bernat got a red card in the 39th minute.
