The top rusher for the Las Vegas Raiders, Josh Jacobs is set to mark his return to the team. The Raiders and Jacobs have agreed to terms on a one-year contract that may be worth up to $12 million.

As per NFL Insider, the contract involves a signing bonus. This new agreement will take the place of the franchise tag, which was supposed to pay Jacobs slightly over $10 million in 2023. He also confirmed the news of his coming back to the Las Vegas Raiders through a social media post.

Jacobs would rejoin the team before Week 1, despite rumors of interest from the Miami Dolphins in a possible trade. It should be acknowledged, though, that the Raiders never intended to sever ways with their top running back.

Josh Jacobs left a lasting impression on the NFL in 2022. He became the league’s top rusher after accumulating 1,653 yards on the ground and 12 touchdowns on 340 carries. Jacobs also took first place in scrimmage yards with 2,053 yards. With this outstanding performance, he made history by being the first Raider to win the NFL running title since Marcus Allen in 1985.

Jacobs also demonstrated his agility and toughness by avoiding 103 tackles, which was the most in the NFL last season. Furthermore, he was the only player ahead of him in this statistic other than Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans, who contributed 33% of his team’s offense.
