For that one game only on October 29 at Lumen Field, the Hawks are going back in time. They will dress in the attire of their 1980s and 1990s teams.

The original Seahawks design, which features silver helmets complemented by royal blue and kelly green, has been given a contemporary twist for the new game to ensure that it will look great in 2023.

“Players and fans, both old and new, have been clamoring for the classic Seahawks uniforms for years,” the team said in a release. “With the passing of a 2021 resolution allowing teams to wear alternate helmets for the first time, the process began to bring back the iconic silver helmets and royal blue uniforms for the 12s. The new Throwback uniforms merge the past with the present, paying tribute to the original color scheme and design elements while using the latest materials and technology for the modern game.”

The Seahawks actually dropped a teaser during a game in the middle of the 2022 season because this throwback was so eagerly anticipated. Not just on 29 October but during the entire season, you can anticipate seeing a lot of them close to Lumen Field. Seattle will use versions of the existing sets with navy, grey, and action green for the next 16 regular-season games.

In 2022, the Seahawks had a 9-8 season and lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card Round. Geno Smith, a seasoned quarterback, won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award for his remarkable performance in Seattle’s full-time starting quarterback position during the previous season.
