Relationship Timeline: 

Right before the pandemic lockdown started, Biles and Owens made an acquaintance on Raya. “We ended up hanging out right before the pandemic,” Owens said in an interview. “It was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off and she couldn’t do anything. So we used it to get to know each other—really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now I’m so thankful.”

By making things Instagram official, the couple confirmed their romance in 2020. Biles posted a picture of the two of them together at the time along with the caption, “It’s just us.” Post this, the couple celebrated Valentine’s Day together and went on several vacations.

Jonathan Owens was there for Simone Biles every step of the way as she entered the Olympic spotlight in 2021, and the support was reciprocal while Owens was preparing for the NFL.
