On Sunday, February 13, the Bengals will meet the Rams in Super Bowl 56. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Rams’ home stadium, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The game will be broadcast on NBC.
On conference championship weekend, both teams made stunning comebacks. In the AFC championship game, Cincinnati rallied from a 21-3 hole to defeat Kansas City 27-24 in overtime. In the NFC championship game, the Rams came back from a 17-7 hole to defeat the 49ers 20-17.
This is just the second Super Bowl involving quarterbacks chosen first overall in the NFL Draft: Joe Burrow (2020) and Matthew Stafford (2019). (2009). Both are in search of their first Super Bowl ring.

The Bengals are making their third appearance in the Super Bowl, and their first since the 1988 season. Cincinnati has rallied around Burrow, who guided the Bengals through the AFC playoffs with back-to-back road wins against Tennessee and Kansas City following a home win over Las Vegas.
Burrow is part of a promising young cast that includes Pro Bowlers Ja’Marr Chase, Joe Mixon, and Trey Hendrickson. Zac Taylor, the franchise’s third-year coach, has a chance to lead it to its first Super Bowl triumph.
Under fifth-year coach Sean McVay, the Rams are in the Super Bowl for the second time. The offseason transaction that sent Jared Goff to Detroit in exchange for Stafford was a significant all-in moment for Los Angeles. Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr., both acquired during the season, have emerged as major players. A star-studded roster also includes wide receiver Cooper Kupp and defensive end, Aaron Donald.

The Bengals have been to the Super Bowl twice before, in 1981 and 1988, but have never won.
Ken Anderson was the quarterback for the 1981 Bengals, who lost the Super Bowl 26-21 to the San Francisco 49ers.
Boomer Esiason was the starting quarterback for the 1988 team. Joe Montana and the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Bengals, 20-16, in Super Bowl 23.

The Rams have been to four Super Bowls before 2022, most recently in 2019 when they faced the Patriots.
