The England cricket team, who are considered as title favourites, will be tested for the first time when they meet arch-rivals Australia in an ICC men’s T20 World Cup Super 12 Group 1 fixture on Saturday. Both teams will be entering the field with an unbeaten run in the tournament.

Owing to their powerful performances, Australia have emerged as strong contenders for the T20 World Cup title. While their batting was below par in a low-scoring match against South Africa, they were clinical against Sri Lanka on Thursday night.

For Australia, captain Aaron Finch and David Warner getting their form back was a positive sign. It was a special night for Warner as he was criticised for his form since being sidelined by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The left-handed batsman is expecting the match against England to be a tough one.

“They’ve obviously got a good all-around side. They bat deep, and they’ve got a lot of options with the ball. They are high confidence, as well. We know with their batting they’re going to come hard, and in the bowling you pretty much know what you’re going to get, so as I said, it’s applying pressure,” Warner said.

“If you can apply pressure in the first six, minimize damage, it sort of changes the mindset of what they have to do,” he said.

The Australia bowling department – Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa – have been in great form.

England, on other hand, are coming into the game with big wins over West Indies and Bangladesh. They hardly broke a sweat in those games.

Off-spinner Moeen Ali, who opened the bowling in both the games, has been impressive and already has four wickets to his name. In the pace department, Tymal Mills has been the standout bowler and has been brilliant in the death overs.
