After a nail-biting miss, the Texans lost a close match to the Jacksonville Jaguars by 24-21.

Several X users trolled the team after a loss and expressed their disappointment on social media.

While several X users praised him for the effort. One user wrote, “do not blame Matt Ammendola for that game. It was way passed his career high and he made it to the post. Good game played by both teams today”

“Matt Ammendola.  I’m not mad. Keep kicking. I’ll root for him, and every kicker, every time.” another user wrote.

The Woodlands, Texas, native Matt Ammendola is the placekicker for the Houston Texans in the National Football League. At The Woodlands High School, where he excelled in baseball, football, and soccer, his early athletic prowess was on display. Interestingly, he played a key role in the high school football team that won the Class 5A state championship in 2006.

He became the starting placekicker for the Cowboys during his three seasons there, making 86.3% of his field goals with accuracy (82 out of 95). He also demonstrated his abilities as the team’s kickoff specialist. Ammendola’s journey continued after he was not selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, as he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers.
