Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Saturday described his relationship with his predecessor, MS Dhoni. Kohli spoke about it during a session of ‘ask me anything’ on Instagram. When asked by a fan about his bond with Dhoni, the current skipper described it in two words — “trust and respect”.
Currently, Kohli is under quarantine in Mumbai before they fly to the United Kingdom for the ICC World Test Championship finale against New Zealand.
India will play the World Test Championship final against New Zealand in the Ages Bowl in Southampton. It is scheduled to start from June 18 to June 22.

Last year, in an Instagram interaction with bowler Ravichandran Ashwin, Kohli praised MS Dhoni for playing a big role in him becoming the captain of the Indian cricket team.
He said, “I have always been inclined towards taking responsibility. After my debut for India, it was just about wanting to play, it was about being in Indian XI all the time. Then, with your intrigue in the game, you start talking to the captain regularly. I was always in Ms’s ears, discussing different tactics.”
He further added, “I think he got a lot of confidence that I can do this after him. I think he played a big role in that.”
Indian cricket team led by Kohli will also play a series of five Tests against England in Nottingham, London starting from August 4.
