Chelsea will be on the lookout for a new manager after firing Thomas Tuchel following the 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in their opening Champions League fixture of the 2022-23 season. With the new season underway, it will be difficult for the London club to land some of the biggest names in world football. Speculations have already begun about the club’s potential targets after reports surfaced that club authorities had already decided on sacking Tuchel before the Zagreb match.

Here are five managers who can take charge of The Blues:

Graham Potter

The current Brighton manager is being touted as the favourite to replace Tuchel at Chelsea. Brighton have been impressive under Potter this season, winning four out of their six Premier League matches this season. They are currently two points off table-toppers Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino

Pochettino, who replaced Tuchel at PSG, is currently without a club after being fired by the Parisian club at the end of the 2021-22 season. The former Tottenham manager will have a point to prove if given a chance to return to the Premier League once again. His high-pressing and fast-paced attacking style of football will also be easier to adapt to for the current Chelsea squad.

Zinedine Zidane

Another star manager without a club, Zidane can add the flair Chelsea need to make them a winning side once again. Zidane’s performance as a manager at Real Madrid has been the most successful among current football gaffers. It remains to be seen whether the former Les Bleus captain makes his much-anticipated transition to the Premier League for The Blues.

Joachim Low

Joachim Low, the former manager of the German national team, has been linked with Chelsea after the tenure of Carlo Ancelotti as well as when Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte parted ways with the club. Low is a proven winner and could bolster Chelsea’s chances this season.

Brendan Rodgers

Rodgers is on the verge of being sacked by Leicester City and can opt to ply his trade in the England capital if given an opportunity. Rodgers is a Premier League veteran, having earlier coached teams like Liverpool and Warford.
