Still
trailing to the hosts Japan after day 5 of the Tokyo Olympics, team USA will
look to bounce back on day 6 and take their place at the top of the table as
they have done many times in the past.

After a disappointing day where star gymnast Simone Biles withdrew from the team final, the US will look towards others for a sort of redemption. Here is a look at the US
athletes in action on day 6 of the Summer Games at Tokyo.

Katie
Ledeckey
will be in action again and will fight for a swimming gold in women’s
200m freestyle final. She and Erica Sullivan will feature in the gold medal
match of the women’s 1500m freestyle event.

Another Gold
in contention will be in the men’s synchronized 3m springboard diving where Andrew
Capobianco and Michael Hixon will represent the US

Amber Neben
will be featuring in the women’s individual time trial final and Lawson Cradock
will take part in men’s individual time trial final in road cycling.

In rowing,
team USA will be taking part in both women’s and men’s coxless four final. As
far as basketball is concerned, the US will take on Iran in the men’s basketball
Group A whereas the US women’s team will take on France in the 3×3 semifinal.

In archery,
3 Americans will be in the fray. They are Casey Kaufhold  in women’s individual 1/32 Eliminations, Jack
Williams and Brady Ellison in men’s individual 1/32 Eliminations.

Sam Mikulak
will take part in men’s artistic individual all-around final. Duke Ragan and
Naomi Graham will represent the USA in boxing on day 6.

Apart from
these, Americans will be in the fray in various other sports like softball, beach
volleyball, Canoeing, fencing, judo, rugby, sailing, and much much more.
