Legendary quarterback Tom Brady
and his wife, Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen were reported to have had a
series of fights recently, following which the couple is now preparing to file for divorce.
Bundchen reportedly left their residence in Florida, while Brady stayed back
for his pre-season training with Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Reports of tensions between the couple
have been circulating for the last many months. As NFL and fashion fans are wondering
why the couple has decided to separate after 13 years of marriage, here are the
reported reasons for such a step:

Brady’s
decision to return to football

The 45-year-old quarterback announced
his retirement from football in February 2022. In March, just 40 days after his
retirement announcement, Brady announced that he would return for the
Buccaneers 2022 season. This decision was not liked by Gisele and is reported
to be the main reason for their separation.

In an Elle interview, she revealed
what she felt about his decision, saying, “Obviously, I have my concerns—this
is a very violent sport”. She added, “I have definitely had those conversations
with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make
a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

Lack of
family time

Gisele previously revealed that Brady’s
profession keeps him away from his family, especially his children, and she
would want him to spend more time with them. In the Elle interview, she said, “I moved to Boston, and I focused on
creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to
be there supporting him and his dreams,” adding, “I have my children and I would
like him to be more present”.

Gisele’s
ultimatum

On October 26, a source told US Weekly
that Gisele had reportedly given Brady an ultimatum. She had asked him to
choose between football and his family. The source disclosed, “She doesn’t want him to continue to get
injured and not be able to enjoy life in the future. She is doing it for her
family.”

Beyond
repair

It was also reported that the couple had
been having marital differences for quite some time and almost all their fights
have been regarding Brady’s career. A source told People in October, “This has
been going on forever. This is nothing new to either of them.” An
insider close to the model revealed that she is ‘done’ with the marriage and
feels their relationship is beyond repair. The source continued, “She is just trying to figure out her
life. She doesn’t have much contact with Tom.”

Previous arguments

It was also reported by TMZ that Gisele has threatened
divorce to Brady for some years and the couple has even separated before.
 A source claimed that every couple of
years they engage in a big fight, and she has left Tom before, but always came
back. They had worked through things, however, fights over the years have
strained their relationship and it is unlikely that they will reunite this
time.
