Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters that star player TE Travis Kelce hyperextended his knee at practice today and his status is now uncertain for Thursday night.
Due to a knee injury sustained during practise on Tuesday, experienced tight end Travis Kelce may not be available for the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.
According to head coach Andy Reid, Kelce hyperextended his knee and it is now unsure whether he will play in Thursday’s season-opening game against the Detroit Lions.
Reid remarked, “We’ll just see how it goes.
Since 2014, Kelce, who will be 34 in October, has not missed a game during the regular season due to injury. He missed one game in 2021 because of COVID-19.

Coach Reid did not update media members on Kelce’s status for the game, replying that the team doctors are “looking at it now.”
