The New York Jets faced the Cleveland Browns in week 2 of the 2022 NFL season. 24-year-old punter Braden Mann left everyone in awe when he successfully converted a fake punt in the first quarter of the match against the Cleveland Browns.
Mann was reportedly facing back problems in practice in the previous week. However, he did not let it affect his performance on the field as he found wide receiver Jeff Smith with a pass that allowed him even more passing yards (17) than quarterback Joe Flacco (16).

The Jets faced a fourth down in the first quarter and it seemed like they would not be able to score any points. However, they called a fake when Braden Mann passed to Jeff Smith for 17 yards. This was followed by the Jets picking up another first down wide receiver Joe Flacco registered seven yards in a third down and received a big play when Breece Hall ran 23 yards.
At the time of writing this article, the New York Jets are drawn 14-14 against the Cleveland Browns at the FirstEnergy Stadium. Mann has registered a 100% pass completion rate with his only 1 pass in the game for 17 yards, 1 yard more than starting quarterback Joe Flacco.

Flacco, on the other hand, has completed 10 out of 16 passes for 99 yards and 2 touchdown passes against the Browns in the game till the third quarter. In comparison, the Browns’ starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett has completed 15 out of 16 passes for 151 yards and 1 touchdown pass.
The New York Jets were beaten 24-9 in their 2022 NFL season opener by the Baltimore Ravens on September 11 at the Metlife Stadium. Mann registered 6 punts with an average of 42.2 yards for 253 yards in that game.
