Dalton Schultz, tight end for the Dallas Cowboys, scored two key touchdowns in the playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday.
Social media users wondered what the tight end was wearing on his neck.
“Does anyone know what the little baby neck roll looking neck bands that some guys are wearing nowadays are/are for? Dalton Schultz wearing one tonight,” a Twitter user said.
“What is Dalton Schultz wearing on his neck? Looks like a slap bracelet #DallasCowboys,” another one added.
“Does anyone know what the device on the neck of #86 Dalton Schultz of the #Cowboys is?,” a third one said.
Seems like Schultz wears a Q-Collar. It is a non-invasive device, C-shaped collar that applies compressive force to the neck and increases blood volume to help reduce movement of the brain within the cranial space which may occur during head impacts, as per FDA.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott connected with Schultz, who took a leaping 22-yard catch for the team’s opening touchdown. Maher, however, missed the extra point.
Prescott then ran into the red zone, in the second quarter, to extend Dallas Cowboys’ lead. Brett Maher again missed the PAT attempt.
Schultz again scored a touchdown for Dallas and Maher again missed the FG.
