Coach Sean McVay claimed that he had not yet received a briefing from the athletic training team and was not aware of Kupp’s health.
McVay in a statement said, “I saw he looked like he came up a little bit on a red zone route, and then I just know they told me he was out for practice. I have no more information than that.”

The 30-year-old encountered difficulties in the 2022 season after suffering a high ankle injury that prevented him from playing in the second half of the year. He had a tightrope recovery operation to address the injury. Kupp missed the spring OTAs at first, but he recovered completely and was taking part in training camp.

As of now, there is no information or update regarding Kupp’s return to the squad, as it depends more on the nature of the injury.
