A white supremacist from Florida, who spewed racist and antisemitic views online, has been been jailed for firearm offenses. Paul Miller, 33, would often dress as Batman villains Joker and Riddler to propagate his extremist views to tens of thousands of followers on social media, under the assumed identity of “Gypsy Crusader.” He would also perform Nazi salutes in the videos and impersonate Nintendo character Mario. The Fort Lauderdale resident has been sentenced to 41 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. He was convicted for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, possessing ammunition as a convicted felon and possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle, Newsweek reports.

Miller fired a handgun in Fort Lauderdale in January 2018 after a firearms training course. While applying for a concealed weapons license in Florida, he did not mention three separate felony offenses he had been convicted for in his previous home of New Jersey. An unregistered short-barreled rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were recovered from Miller’s home following his arrest on March 2 after a federal grand jury indictment.

“In the months immediately before his arrest, Miller had made hundreds of internet posts publicizing his animosity towards various minority groups and his support for the initiation of a race-based civil war in the United States,” prosecutors said in a statement.

Miller also harassed strangers in public places, according to the Anti-Defamation League. In an October 20 video, he was seen badgering a Black woman who was holding a “Black Lives Matter” sign at a Donald Trump election rally in New Jersey. He shouted “Only white lives matter” and “Heil Hitler” at the woman and hurled racist slurs at counter-protesters.

“The day of the rope is coming. It’s f****** coming. And if I can accelerate that s*** I’m gonna f****** accelerate the hell out of it because it needs to happen,” Miller said in another video on his Telegram account,
