Brazilian football legend Pelé passed away on Thursday in Sao Paulo after battling cancer for over a year. Pelé had been ill for over a month and while his condition briefly improved, it deteriorated again a few days ago. He was aged 82.

Edison Arantes de Nascimento alias Pelé has been a three time World Cup winner (1958,62 and 70) and one of the greatest football players of all time. He married thrice and his second wife was the singer Assíria Lemos Seixas.

Who is Assíria Nascimento?

Assíria Lemos Seixas is a 62-year-old Brazilian singer born in the United States. She was born on February first in 1960 and is a qualified psychologist. She married Pelé in 1994 and were married together till 2008. They have two children together.
