Left tackle Cam Robinson of the Jacksonville Jaguars has been given a four-game NFL suspension for breaking the organization’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, according to a source who spoke to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday.

Robinson will lose $888,888 for every game he is suspended from playing, for a total of $3,555,552. Robinson is still qualified to take part in training camp and the preseason. His $16 million base salary promise for 2023 is also nullified by the suspension. He signed a three-year, $52.75 million contract extension in May 2022, and this is the second year of that deal.

In place of the injured Walker Little at left tackle, the Jaguars will start rookie first-round choice Anton Harrison at right tackle, with Josh Wells, a seasoned pro who they signed to a one-year contract in April, serving as the swing tackle’s backup. Over the past two seasons, Little has replaced Robinson at left tackle and started eight games (including playoffs) due to injury.

Little will presumably be moved inside to left guard by the Jaguars when Robinson is back, where he will face Ben Bartch.

According to data from ESPN Stats & Information, Robinson had the 59th-highest pass block victory percentage among offensive tackles in 2022. After sustaining a knee injury during Jacksonville’s overtime victory over the Dallas Cowboys on December 18, he missed the final three regular-season games as well as both of the team’s postseason contests.

Since the Jaguars selected Robinson in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, he has started 75 games for them.
