Chiara Passari is an Australian model who dated Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios. The model accused the tennis player of sexually assaulting her. Kyrgios is accused of grabbing Passari, a charge that carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison.

The 27-year-old player, who has advanced to the Wimbledon quarter-finals, is scheduled to appear in court next month.

The police said – “ACT Policing can confirm a 27-year-old Watson man is scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates Court on the 2nd of August in relation to one charge of common assault following an incident in December 2021.”

Chiara Passari and Nick Kyrgios dated for 18 months and broke up earlier this year. Passari and Kyrgios began dating in the middle of 2020, just three months after Kyrgios broke up with Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya.

Passari has since claimed that the 26-year-old “love-bombed” her in the early stages of their relationship.

On Thursday, Kyrgios shared a photo with new partner Costeen Hatzi, captioning it, “I’m blessed. This is to the New year & a chance for all of us to get it right.”

Talking about the post, Passari told Daily Mail – “This girl has no idea what she’s in for,” the exact same things happened to me. He moves on (quickly) because he is too afraid to be alone.”

Passari said she received very little negative feedback after publicly disclosing her relationship woes with Kyrgios on social media.

The model stated- “Surprisingly not from social media at all,” she said. “Of course a message here and there saying I am … doing it all for attention and followers. Other than that, people really did feel for the situation. Why would I want to have attention on me from a story that makes me look weak and walked all over as I kept forgiving him and going back. It’s not for attention, it’s for awareness.”
