Indianapolis owner and vice chair Carlie-Irsay Gordon said that she hopes the program helps women.

“A lot of times what your dreams are what you think is possible for yourself. If you don’t see examples of it in your world, then I think it’s a lot harder to dream it being possible,” she said.

The Colts started the Harriet P. Irsay Fellowship for Women in Football Program in 2023. The fellowship is named after the late mother of the team’s owner and CEO Jim Irsay.

“The fellowship was created with the goal of creating a pipeline for women – who are historically underrepresented in football operations and coaching roles – to be considered for more senior positions with the Colts and across the NFL in the future,” the team said.
